Convention update: our Rituals team placed 3rd! The Rituals contest is where members have to memorize and recite the opening and closing ceremonies and are given a prompt to create a plan. Our team included Alexa Lippert, Adelina Reyes, Izabella Snell, Genevieve Boersema, Danika Saenz, and Ryder Hodge.

Eastmont FFA is at State Convention in Pullman, WA. Today we competed in Food Science, Milk Quality, Food Products and Processing, and Employment Skills. Tomorrow our Rituals team gets to show their impressive leadership skills. And Saturday FARM for Kids will showcase their agricultural education efforts. Good luck to all our teams!

Yesterday our Livestock Evaluation team traveled to Spokane to participate in the State contest. They able to see 7 classes of amazing livestock and complete a team activity. It was a very competitive event with 48 teams from across the state. Though we didn’t bring home any awards, our team had several perfect or near perfect placing scores. We are excited to learn and grow and return next year. Congratulations Manuel Rivera, Cole Bartlett, Alexis May, Lainee Bartlett, Harper Peterson, and Izabella Snell on your hard work and effort this year!

It was a beautiful day in Okanogan for our last away trap shoot and our trap shooting team was able to bring home some awards: 1 place girl Kaelyn Peterson, 2nd place girl Maylynn Pipkin, 3rd place girl Sara Ingram, 1st place boy David Mohns, 2nd place boy Dylan Atkinson, 2nd place buddy David Mohns, 3rd place buddy Dylan Atkinson, 3rd place chipper Abram Everhart and 1st place team (Maylyn Pipkin, Blaze Neville, Dylan Atkinson, David Mohns and Kaelyn Peterson)!! Congratulations to our 4 members (Elsie Gilyard, Sandra Mendoza-Zamora, Bailey Hunt, and Maylynn Pipkin) that competed in Employments Skills at Districts last night! These ladies worked hard, and individually competed against 14 other members. Congratulations to Bailey Hunt who placed 1st at districts and will move on to state. Congratulations to Sandra who placed 6th, Elsie who placed 8th and Maylynn who placed 11th! Great work ladies!

If you need a tool identified or need to know how to use it, our Ag Tools and Materials team are the ones to ask. They traveled to Perry Technical Institute in Yakima to compete in the State contest where they earned 7th place team out a very competitive 21 teams. Team members included: Dylan Atkinson, Cole Bartlett, Blaze Neville, and Manuel Rivera. Great job team!
