We are currently studying New Zealand's various invasive and endemic animals. This week we learned about Glowworms - our students made models of the Glowworms dangling in caves and included the webs they lay to capture insects to eat.

Our students dove into some hands-on STEAM fun by designing floating sharks and cheering each other on as their creations took to the water! Meanwhile, our Sculpture Club explored the outdoors and crafted beautiful nature sculptures!

It’s not easy to say goodbye to someone who’s been such a big part of our afterschool program for nearly ten years. Mrs. Ryea's kindness, creativity, and dedication has truly made such a lasting impact on our students and staff. We’re really going to miss having Mrs. Ryea around, thank you for everything—you’ll always be part of our afterschool family!

We had a wonderful experience at Hidden Grace Farm this summer! They generously hosted our camp and created an engaging, hands-on environment where learning came to life. Campers got to interact with the animals, explore the land, and even help out with real farm tasks, making it both educational and fun. The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable, and their passion for farming really inspired our students!

One of our most exciting enrichment activities this summer is our LEGO Movie Club! In this club, students use stop-motion animation and video editing software to create their very own short films using LEGO. Along the way, they’re building important skills like storytelling, digital literacy, and problem-solving. It's been amazing to see their creativity come to life on screen as they learn how to edit footage and bring their ideas to reality.
