A HUGE thank you to Clean Right Cleaning for giving Scribbles an amazing deep clean today! 🧹🫧

After months of construction dust, painting, drilling, sanding, moving things around…and approximately 9,472 trips in and out of this building 😂…Scribbles is officially SPARKLING! ✨

The floors are shining, everything smells fresh, and it feels SO GOOD to check another big box off the list. ✅

I HIGHLY recommend Clean Right Cleaning — they did an incredible job and gave our little center exactly the fresh start it needed. ♥️🖍️

Now…can everyone please stop making messes?! 😂🤪

Another night at Scribbles = another round of boxes CHECKED! ✅✅✅

And tonight’s MVP is absolutely Mr. Scribbles. ♥️

✔️ Toilet paper dispensers hung
✔️ Paper towel dispensers hung
✔️ Cabinets bought, hauled home AND hung
✔️ Me supervising and probably saying, “Wait… is that level?” approximately 47 times 😂
✔️ One million little things getting DONE

It’s funny how something as simple as seeing cabinets on the wall and dispensers in the bathrooms can make me so ridiculously happy. 😂 But every single one of these little jobs means we are THAT much closer.

This man has been dragged to Lowe’s more times than he ever signed up for and somehow keeps showing up with the drill. 😂♥️

Mr. Scribbles… you’re the real MVP. 🛠️🖍️

Changing table = OFFICIALLY complete! ✅♥️

We added the back to make it a little safer…and then, because apparently I am physically incapable of leaving well enough alone, I decided it obviously needed adorable little animal drawer pulls. 😂🐯🦊🦁

Because regular k***s? At Scribbles?? Absolutely not. 🤣

This started as a way to cover some plumbing and somehow turned into a custom-built changing station that I LOVE. Another box checked…and another tiny detail that makes this place feel more and more like Scribbles. 🥹🖍️♥️

It’s all in the little details.

Another late night, but dang does it feel good to keep checking those boxes. ✅✅✅

Tonight’s accomplishments:
✨ New drawer pulls
🎨 Finished painting
🏦 Finally got the last of the old bank stickers off the glass — BYE 👋😂
🧹 Organized, cleaned, and tackled a million little things that somehow take FOREVER.

Every night I leave, it looks a little less like the bank it used to be and a little more like Scribbles. 🥹

The list is getting shorter. The dream is getting closer. And now…this tired girl is going HOME. 😂💤

I NEED SOMEONE TO PINCH ME. 😭🖍️❤️
I think I found THE DREAM TEAM.
Like… not just people to fill positions. THE people. The kind of educators you sit across from during an interview and think, YES. You get it. You get what I’m trying to build here.
I’ll be extending some offer letters and if they accept… THIS PLACE IS GOING TO BE AMAZING. 😭🙌
Scribbles is going to be everything I dreamed it could be — and honestly, probably even better — because of the people who are going to be inside these walls loving, teaching, playing, laughing, and growing with our little Scribblers every single day. ❤️
I spent so much time worrying about whether I would find the right people.
Turns out… they were out there. 🥹
And we’re still looking for a few more amazing people to complete our Scribbles family! 🖍️❤️ If you’re an educator who believes kids should be allowed to PLAY, explore, get messy, laugh, create, and BE LITTLE… we might be looking for YOU. 👀

Let’s play a game… 🤪

How many completely unnecessary holes do you think are hiding underneath these beautifully mounted fixtures? 😂🔩🕳️

Because apparently today I added “expert in wall anchors and knowing which freaking screw to use” to my résumé.

Did I mount them? YES. ✅
Are they level? Close enough to level. 😂
Are we going to remove them and inspect the wall underneath?

ABSOLUTELY NOT. 🚫🤣

The things they don’t teach you when you decide to open a childcare center… one day you’re interviewing teachers, the next you’re standing in Home Depot learning the difference between drywall anchors like your life depends on it.

At this point, Scribbles isn’t just built with love… it’s built with love, determination, and approximately 47 unnecessary holes. 😂🖍️🔨

✅ One step closer to DONE!

At this point, if Scribbles needs it for an inspection, I probably own it, have ordered it, or it’s currently sitting in an Amazon cart. 😂

Tomorrow’s episode of Things I Never Thought I’d Be Excited About… PLUMBING INSPECTION! 🚰😂

Just me, standing at a sink with a thermometer, checking water temperatures like I haven’t spent the last 20 years teaching kindergarten. 🤣

118°… UNDER 120°! 🙌🏻
Never knew a number on a tiny thermometer could bring me this much joy. 😂

Fire inspection ✅
Construction ✅
Electrical ✅
And tomorrow… hopefully we add PLUMBING ✅

Every inspection, every ridiculous little detail, every box checked gets us ONE step closer to opening those Scribbles doors. 🖍️❤️

Custom-made by my amazing contractor to fit the space perfectly—and I am OBSESSED. 😍 From trying to figure out how the heck we were going to make this area work…to THIS.

Every single little detail is finally coming together, and Scribbles is looking more and more like the place I’ve had in my head for so long. 🥹🖍️

And yes… apparently custom changing tables are the things that excite me now. 😂😂

One more thing checked off the never-ending list! ✔️
