This spring and summer are great times to address challenges that may have existed for a long time, or are just showing up.
Learn explicit step-by-step skills in the following areas and across content areas and contexts:
Executive Functioning:
Time Management & Calendars, Task Attack, and Prioritizing (can include college application process)
Self-Advocacy:
Guidance in self-care, routines, accountability, and productivity. Also can include navigating resources, planning and practicing conversations with teachers/professors; and understanding and speaking about learning needs or services.
Academic Skills:
Reading, Writing for college prep and college level
Academic Tests:
Material Synthesis, Test Preparation, Test Taking, Error Analysis (can include standardized tests)
Work in-person, or online, to learn concrete strategies, apply them to concrete examples in day to day experiences, and then be guided toward independently mastering these skills.
