We are still celebrating the incredible success of this year's Camp Timber-lee Golf Outing!

We set a goal of $75,000 and, thanks to our amazing golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters, we raised more than $100,000!

That generosity will continue to fuel the mission of Camp Timber-lee and help us create engaging communities where each young person encounters Christ through a dynamic camp experience.

Before the cabin’s awake.
Before anyone’s remembered they’re at camp yet.

This is it that first morning, when the mist hasn’t burned off the lake, the picnic tables are still wet with dew, and the whole property is holding its breath for a few more minutes before 200 kids come pouring out of their cabins.

If you went to camp, you know this exact quiet.
It’s the calm before the best week of your summer.

If our kitchen team was on aux, camp would run on time, everyone would be fed, and somehow it’d still be a good time.

Gareth, Lucy, Katrina, Zach, Hattie, Andrew, Sean, Dean, Declan, Rosie, Owen, Jenny, Rafa — this is the crew nobody sees at 6am prepping breakfast for 200+ people, but everybody benefits from three times a day, every single day of the summer. We are SO grateful for each one!

They often don’t get the reel-worthy moments.
They get the walk-in, the dish pit, and the serving line. So here’s theirs.

In between giving out free ice cream all day today (a very important executive director responsibility), Todd stopped to give us one last update from summer camp.

The summer is wrapping up, but the stories, friendships, and moments that happened here are going home with our campers.

One more summer at Timber-lee. One more summer of watching God work in ways we couldn’t have planned ourselves.

We put a mic in front of campers Week 5 and asked one question: what’s the biggest thing you’re taking home?

Some answers were deep. “Treat others with respect.” “Just always be loving.” “He can be found through the words in people — He can just be found.”

Some answers were “I prayed last night, for a bass.” 🐟 No further explanation needed.

That’s a week at Timber-lee in a nutshell kids leaving with something real in their hearts, and also just being kids.

Nobody scripted this. Nobody rehearsed it. This is what actually comes out when you hand a camper a mic.

Ask your camper what they’d say. 🌲

Rain doesn’t cancel camp.
It just moves the party.

Card games take over the lodge. Friendship bracelets get made under the pavilion roof instead of at the picnic tables. Somebody still finds a reason to wear a lei in a rainstorm.

And yes — the zip line still runs, and yes, someone’s still jumping on the blob, because a little rain has never once stopped a camper from having the best day of their week.

This is the part prospective parents don’t always think about: camp doesn’t pause for weather. It just gets cozier, louder, and somehow funnier. ☔
