Please join us in celebrating our military families and area veterans at this free event on August 19th at 6:30 pm at the IGET Community Center! Music will be provided by Fortzando, an a capella singing group from Fort Atkinson, who will perform patriotic and Americana tunes as a musical salute to our military families and vets.

Our special guest will be Shelley Joan Weiss, the Wisconsin Commissioner for the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunities for Military Children. All are welcome and refreshments will be provided. For questions, please contact Christine Hamele at [email protected].

Last Friday, the fantastic K-12 art show took place at East Troy Middle School. Our students have worked hard to learn important skills throughout the year. Last week, they showcased their work for their families.

Congratulations to our elementary students who created May baskets for area senior citizens who live at Brolen Park, East Troy Manor, and The Heritage earlier this month. The May baskets were created during Kids Who Care month to provide students an opportunity to learn about caring for those in our community.

We are incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by such generous people! THANK YOU to everyone who made school staff feel special this week. Special shout-outs go to our families for the flowers and gifts, PTO for your wonderful daily goodies and services, Brooklife Church in conjunction with Bub's Brews for the coffee truck, and administration for the treats too. We are so, so lucky to have you all.

We hope that you had a wonderful Valentine's Day weekend, families! During the month of February, district Wellness Wednesday activities are centered on the theme of "Spread the Love!" Earlier in the month, students gave shout-outs to local businesses and agencies and recently shared the love for their school staff by decorating hearts for them. Shout-out to Tori Franz and Jenni Lehman for their hard work on this project.
