From Bel Air, Maryland, to ESU’s courts and classrooms, Cailey Jones is proving what it means to lead with purpose and perseverance. A pre-Physician Assistant major, volleyball student-athlete, and President of the Pre-PA Club, Cailey has balanced a demanding academic path with leadership and teamwork—building a college experience defined by growth, support, and connection.

“I knew I would get the support I was looking for from faculty, staff, and even the athletic department,” she shared, reflecting on what made ESU feel like home after transferring.

As she prepares to begin PA school at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Cailey credits the Robert J. Shields ’55 Endowed Scholarship for easing the financial stress of her final year. “It’s allowed me to be present each day without worrying about the loans that are piling up,” she said.

At ESU, Cailey found more than a degree—she found confidence, community, and the foundation for what comes next. 🎓
