Three Village ART

Teamwork makes the dream work. Gelinas art teachers and their fun holiday doors. Paint some happy trees, take an “Elfie” or selfie with the GOAT. Spread some holiday cheer with the art team!

Congratulations to this year‘s National Junior Art Honor Society’s newest members from and (Gelinas and Murphy Junior High Schools). Thank you, Mrs. Kremens and Mrs. Fiorio for a beautiful induction ceremony last evening.

April’s student artist spotlight is Jiaming. She is one of Ms. Muzzonigros students at Setauket Elementary School. This talented 6th grader loves art and is strong in many mediums. We can’t wait to see where she goes from here.

Students in Mrs. Caggiano’s Creative Studio classes painted with acrylics on old vinyl records. They learned about value, color families and mixing colors.

Students in Mr. Esser’s Sculpture class created these upcycled projects from water bottles.

Students in Ms. Maritato’s Studio Art class at Gelinas created colored pencil renderings of candy from observation!

The students put a lot of work into this and had fun working on a big project together. It is currently displayed in the hallway of the Academy if you want to check it out.

Thank you Ms. Mullany for sharing your students beautiful art. Nassakeag art students are using art history and mixed media to express their perspective of famous artists.

Congratulations to Mason Riggs, 6th grader at Arrowhead Elementary School and student of Mrs. Inversa for being our first 2024 Art Student Spotlight artist.

3rd grade art students in Mrs. Muzzonigros art class learned about symmetry to create the market truck. 4th graders created art inspired by Grant Woods “American Gothic “ to create their own parody as shown in the second piece of art.

A 5th and 6th grade student I Mrs. Muzzonigros art classes had their dragon art accepted into the Lunar Year Dragon Art Exhibition and will be shown at the Brookhaven Town Hall.
