Welcome to Wellness Wednesdays! 🌿

At Riverview, wellness is an essential part of educating the whole student. From physical fitness and athletics to mindfulness and nutrition, we empower students with the knowledge and habits they need to thrive from the inside out, now and for years to come.

Follow along each Wednesday as we highlight the people, programs, and practices that make up our incredible Wellness programming!

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month, which celebrates inclusion and belonging in the workplace. ❤️

At Riverview, workplace readiness is an important part of our G.R.O.W. curriculum. Through hands-on experiences at Cafe Riverview and Second View Thrift, as well as at our many vocational partnership sites, students are building transferable skills, exploring their strengths, and gaining real-world work experience in environments where they feel included, valued, and supported.

⭐Student Ambassador Series: Meet Charlie! ⭐

Charlie has many reasons why he loves being a student at Riverview. One of his favorite things is the strong sense of community and the opportunity to make new friends. He also has a passion for helping others.

If Charlie could offer advice to a student considering Riverview, he would say: "Come to Riverview! You'll gain valuable experience in Residential Life!

And his favorite piece of advice to a new student who is thinking about coming to Riverview? "Keep being you. Once you find your spark, it will guide you all the way!"

Thank you, Charlie, for always making new students feel welcome!

October is Learning Differences Awareness Month 💙

At Riverview, we believe in every student's potential. Here, students find a place where they belong, develop the tools and skills to grow, and discover their strengths. Surrounded by a supportive community, they are encouraged to lean into their passions, try new things, and be their authentic selves every day.

Riverview was proud to have Cassie Haven, Assistant Head of School for GROW Academics and Vocational, join our Admissions Team to represent us at the West Coast Alternative to College Fair in California! This event is designed for families to meet and learn about post-secondary options that exist. Professionals from across the country participated to discuss their programs that support young adults in building independence and finding success beyond traditional college pathways.

Thank you for another great ALT Fair!
