Spotlight🔦 to Ms. Nelson, our dedicated Community Schools Specialist Coordinator, is truly the heartbeat of Officer Elementary. Her unwavering commitment, creativity, and passion for our students, families, and community have made a lasting impact that deserves every recognition.

From the very beginning, Ms. Nelson has gone above and beyond to turn Officer Elementary into more than just a school — she’s helped make it a central hub for our community. Thanks to her vision and leadership, we celebrated our first-ever Block Party, a joyful and unifying event that brought together students, families, and community partners in a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere. It was more than just a celebration — it was a statement: Officer Elementary is a place where everyone belongs.

Ms. Nelson also played a key role in organizing before- and after-school care, ensuring that our students have a safe, enriching environment beyond school hours — a game changer for so many working families. Additionally, her coordination of the IAR field trip was not only a reward for hard work but also a memorable experience that motivated and inspired our students.

Her efforts consistently go above expectations, showing her dedication to equity, community engagement, and student success. Ms. Nelson doesn’t just do her job — she elevates it, turning ideas into action and challenges into opportunities. She is a connector, a problem-solver, and a shining example of what it means to serve with heart.
