Unity Lutheran Christian Elementary School

UNITY!!!! The Golden Eagles of Unity Lutheran Christian Elementary School in East St. Louis. Unity is a mission school of the Southern Illinois District - LCMS.

We opened in East St. Louis in 2003 with 17 students. We now have 188 students. We strive to teach students about Jesus Christ while challenging them to achieve at a high academic level. The behavior of our students is exemplary. We are extremely proud of this very special school.

Growing in Christ 🙏💜💛

Unity Lutheran Christian Elementary School is wrapping up our **first two weeks of school**, and we are so thankful for a wonderful start to the new school year! 📚✨

During our first week, our **8th grade class** led *Belong to Jesus* as we learned about the **first four days of Creation**. This week, our **7th grade class** led us as we **closed out the Creation story** and reflected on God’s wonderful work. 🌎✨

What a beautiful way to begin our year—learning, growing, and belonging to Jesus! 💜💛🙏

Due to a hazardous material fire, a shelter in place has been issued for portions of the Metro East. Unity Lutheran Christian Elementary School will be closed on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

We are so excited to welcome our **staff, students, and families** back for the 2026–2027 school year! 📚💙

Tomorrow, **Monday, August 10,** is the first day of school, and we can’t wait to see everyone! We are looking forward to a wonderful year of learning, growing, fellowship, and making new memories together.

⚓️ Our theme this year is “Anchored in Christ” — Hebrews 6:19.**
