The Wyvetter H. Younge Higher Education Campus is excited to welcome families, friends, and neighbors from across the Metro East region to join us on Friday, July 3rd, for a community gathering and viewing of the Gateway Arch Fireworks Show.
This free community event will provide a safe, open, and family-friendly space for residents to enjoy one of the region’s most beloved Independence Day traditions. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and their favorite snacks as we watch the spectacular fireworks display illuminate the St. Louis skyline.
Event Details:
• Date: Friday, July 3, 2026
• Time: Gates open at 8:00 PM; fireworks begin at 9:40 PM
• Location: 601 James R. Thompson Blvd., East St. Louis, IL 62201
• Cost: Free and open to the public
Rules:
• Do not bring grills/Grilling not allowed/open flame not allowed
• Alcoholic beverages are not allowed
• No fireworks allowed

Parking will be available on-site. Early arrival is recommended.
Note: This event is for the fireworks show on Friday, July 3rd. The campus will not be open on Saturday, July 4th.
