Bittersweet day today. Our 8th Grade entered the building for the last time today. They enjoyed one last meal together in the cafeteria—the Annual Graduates Breakfast. We will miss these faces! Looking forward to celebrating their graduation on Saturday! ❤️💛🎓😢❤️💛

On June 19th we will celebrate St. Raymond School. All are invited to the 5pm Mass and a picnic on the lawn afterwards.

Thank you to the Parents Club for celebrating our soon-to-be-graduates with a special lunch from Burger Shack today. Today is the last day that the Class of 2021 will eat lunch in the St. Raymond’s cafeteria. 😢 Checking off another milestone on the path to graduation on June 12th! Congratulations to our Mighty 11! ❤️💛🎓🎓❤️💛

Miss Soldano’s Fifth Grade class was working on a fun experiment in science class last week. They tried to determine the optimal design for paper cup phones to demonstrate how sound vibrations travel to our ears. Learning + fun = a great day at St. Raymond School! ❤️💛

Miss Keeley’s 3rd Grade was keeping things fun and interesting while learning about “Animal Adaptations” in Science class this week. In a hands on lesson, they worked at different stations to discover how blubber could keep their hands warmer in cold water, why lizards have detachable tails, and how camouflage helps prey and predators! ❤️💛

Earlier this week, Mrs. Radin’s kindergarten class released their butterflies. They watched them grow from baby caterpillars to beautiful butterflies! You have to love springtime! 💛❤️

Miss Murphy’s 2nd Grade worked in pairs today to create pictures of their favorite Bible stories. Great job by our 2nd grade on a fun project! ❤️💛✝️❤️💛

Science Fair 2021 is in the books! Great job by all of our middle school students!

Mrs. Artusa’s 6th Grade made dioramas of each of the days of Creation for their Religion Fair projects. They clearly put a lot of detail and effort into their work. Fantastic job, 6th Grade! 💛❤️✝️❤️💛

Mrs. Fischer’s 1st Grade enjoyed exploring the Religion Fair this morning in the Auditorium and seeing all of the wonderful projects created by our students to celebrate our Catholic faith. Great job by everyone! ✝️🙏🏻💗

For this year’s Religion Fair, taking place tomorrow, each of Mrs. Hamaty’s 8th Grade students were randomly assigned a cathedral located in New York or a nearby state and asked to build a model of that church. Here are the finished products. Great job on a not easy task by all of our students! ❤️💛✝️✝️❤️💛

The 8th Grade May Crowning is one of our many beautiful traditions at St. Raymond School and one of the milestones that lead up to graduation. Thank you to the Class of 2021 for a beautiful service. 🙏🏻💐🙏🏻

Mrs. Radin’s Kindergarten celebrated Mother’s Day a little early this week with guest readers—their MOMS! The moms joined the class virtually to read some favorite stories. It was a great day for all involved! ❤️💛❤️💛

Happy Nurse Appreciation Day to our favorite nurse, Mrs. Michele Daniels! Thank you to our Kindergarten class for being so kind as to bring Mrs. Daniels flowers to mark the day. ❤️💛❤️💛

Happy Teacher Appreciation Day to all of the wonderful teachers, past and present, of St. Raymond School. We are grateful for all that you have done for our children and our Parish. You are the reason St. Raymond School provided 94 years of excellence in Catholic education! 💕💕💕

This morning our Second Grade came together to celebrate their First Holy Communion as a class. They attended Mass this morning and then a special breakfast celebration in their classroom. Please join us in congratulating them once again! God bless them always!

Friends helping friends is what we’re all about. Gianna, one of our 1st grade students, said goodbye to her beloved dog this week. Budding author,and 2nd grader, Joseph brought her a gift today to try to help her through—a copy of a book that he wrote (and published!) about when his dog died, called “Buddy, My Best Friend, Moves to A Place Called Heaven.” I’m not crying. You’re crying. 💕💕💕

Mrs. Fischer’s 1st Grade got a “sweet” lesson in how to make a graph this week. And maybe they are a few M&Ms too. 🙂💛❤️

Mrs. Radin’s kindergarten celebrated Earth Day yesterday with a nature walk using all of their senses. They gave thanks for Mother Earth and for all that she provides us. They also visited Mr. Bob & Mr. Ray’s “Pizza Garden”, where they checked on the basil, tomato, oregano and other plants. 😀🍕❤️💛😀

Ms. Soldano’s 5th grade class finished their novel reading project today. They read “The Doughnut Fix”. Mairead K. made chocolate cream doughnuts, inspired by the ones in the book, for her classmates to snack on while they enjoyed the final chapter! ❤️💛🍩🍩❤️💛
