How it works:

1) Schedule a tour. Get to know Jamie and sign up.

2) Spots are on a first come/first serve basis. Payment is due at drop-off. (You can schedule ahead of time or sign up for a weekly text with a list of upcoming availability.)

3) Your child will enjoy the most active/exciting part of the day at daycare—snack, circle time, activities, and lunch. (Plus nap if staying for the full day.)

4) Enjoy your well-deserved break, without the mom-guilt because the kids are having a great time!

Happy first week of school everyone! For anyone looking for childcare for their 2-5 year old this fall, I have one full time spot and one part time spot available!

Say GOOD MORNING to the Good Manners Caterpillar! 😊 I made this little guy ten years ago when my teens were little kids. The little ones and I sing the Good Manners Caterpillar Song every morning during circle time. 🐛

(There is also an “excuse me” circle but it is missing. Don’t worry, we still include “excuse me” in the song! 😅)

A simple weather-themed game I made out of what we had lying around. Roll the die, and perform the movement—spinning for a tornado, stomping in the puddles for rain, freezing for a snowflake, etc.

This one game had the kids practicing quite a few important early childhood skills: taking turns, counting, vocabulary, and gross motor! Since it went over so well, I will be making them a nicer version of this game to bring out over and over again.

A great book for preschoolers and toddlers that went well with our weather theme! This gentle rhyming book goes over each color of the rainbow as the little girl in the story talks about the weather outside during a storm. This book is great for kids ages 3-6 to increase vocabulary, phonological awareness and narrative skills.

Our visual schedule on display is so important for toddlers and preschoolers! I have many squares to represent the different activities throughout the day and they attach to the wall with Velcro.

Implementing this visual schedule was a game-changer for getting the kids to cooperate with the daily activities. They feel a sense of control when they know what we are about to do next, and they are excited to participate.

This rainy day art project is a great way for toddlers and young children to develop their fine motor skills. Painting with a cotton swab is a great workout for that pincer grasp—which is important for the muscles that hold a pencil and write later in life.
