In light of the tragic events that occurred at Brown University this past Saturday, I want to take a moment to speak directly to our families and students.
First and foremost, your safety—and the safety of your children—has always been, and will always be, my highest priority. Our school remains a safe, secure place for students to train, learn, and grow.
I have spent over 30 years in the self-defense and martial arts industry, dedicating my life to protecting others and preparing for real-world situations. With that experience comes a deep understanding that safety is not something to take lightly, especially when families entrust me with the care of their children.
We take a proactive, responsible approach to security. This includes constant awareness, professional preparedness, and having the appropriate measures in place to respond to any situation should the need ever arise. These practices have been part of how we operate for decades—not as a reaction to fear, but as a commitment to responsibility.
I understand that we live in different times now, and it’s natural for parents to have concerns. Please know that your children are not only learning self-defense and ninja warrior here—they are training in an environment where their well-being is taken extremely seriously. There are few, if any, martial arts schools that approach student safety with the same level of commitment, experience, and care that we do.
Thank you for trusting us. That trust is something I never take for granted, and I remain fully committed to providing a safe, structured, and protective environment for every student and family who walks through our doors.
If you ever have questions or concerns, please contact me directly.
With my deepest gratitude,
Daniel A. DaRocha
