Highly recommend https://EasyVirtualChoir.com, super easy to use, and it is FREE! The software aligns audio/video tracks automatically and generates virtual choir videos instantly. Users have created videos for choir, band, chamber music, virtual rehearsal, online music teaching, choir dance, audition, recital, singing with sign language, drama practice, skit etc., or simply for fun with friends and family. Educators have used it to integrate music, teacher instruction and student participation into one video. It’s a versatile visualization tool and virtual platform combined, especially useful for distance learning. It’s a fun way for teachers to engage remote students and provide timely feedback. Kids are excited to participate in the recording and see themselves in the generated video. The entire process is so simple and fast for both teachers and students, that most k-12 school teachers have got a class video created after just one period. Remote music lessons and online rehearsals have become so much easier with this software, which has made teachers thrilled, students delighted, and parents pleased. Hope this free service will be helpful to your students too!

As you all prepare to go back to work tomorrow I want to take a moment to thank you all! This is a crazy, unprecedented time and I want to give a special shout out to the teachers. You have all gone above and beyond for your students in your daily routines, and you’re about to do even more. I thank you and appreciate you! We can and will get through this successfully! Thank you for being an amazing teacher! Thank you to the staff and administration as well. There is so much work going on behind the scenes to make this a successful time of learning for our students. Go PCD!
I would like to share with you a great opportunity for children wanting to improve their French speaking skills this summer.
This would be a cool idea to do!
Hello all,

I am conducting research on the threatened diamondback terrapin in the village of Pocasset with the New England Coastal Wildlife Alliance (NECWA), a local non-profit. Diamondback terrapins are the only species of saltmarsh turtle on the East coast and are under imminent threat of extinction due to the loss of salt marshes and sand dunes. Keely Ashe-Alex and I are heading a team to gauge the population of these turtles in Pocasset. Unfortunately, NECWA is short on funds and is currently unable to buy the proper equipment to study these turtles. Please donate and help us save these amazing turtles! Here is a link to the GoFundMe: https://www.gofundme.com/vhrb2s-fundraiser-for-new-england-coastal-alliance-gear?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=fb_co_campmgmt_w&fbclid=IwAR1OwRgwvmXeL5bj3JgOM0uIMKoUSoPudQdZg69onkFgL4_BeHUHcw2pkTQ

It's time for our final Throwback Thursday with a twist, as we honor Athletics Hall of Fame inductee the 1999-2000 Girls Varsity basketball team, one of PCD's most successful girls basketball teams. The team went undefeated in regular season play and, for the first time in school history, won the league tournament. The girls went on to the NEPSAC tournament, an invitation-only tournament for the best eight teams in New England. Seeded fourth, the team would make it to the semifinals before losing a hard-fought game to St. Andrews.

Join us as we honor the basketball team and all of this year's inductees at the 2023 Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Dinner and Award Ceremony on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 6:00 PM. The final day to RSVP is TODAY! Register to attend here: https://www.providencecountryday.org/our-centennial/athletics-hall-of-fame-dinner

For today's Wednesday, we're giving a shout out to Harris K. Weiner '76, who was recently inducted into the Rhode Island Lawyers Weekly's Excellence in the Law Hall of Fame. A trial lawyer focused on commercial and real estate disputes, Harris has counseled the Governor, Senate Minority Leader, Department Directors, and municipalities. He has also published articles on eminent domain, public contracts and the legal profession and teaches business law at Bryant University. Harris opened his own law office in East Providence in 2021 after three decades at prominent Boston and Providence commercial firms. What an amazing career!

One of the best parts of our PreK-12 campus is the interaction between the older and younger students. Last week, ninth graders from Mr. Sun's Spanish class paid a visit to Ms. Wolf's first grade class. The younger students were paired off with an Upper School buddy and spent time reading together. We can't wait to see more of these relationships develop throughout the year!

Thank you to everyone who attended Knights at Night: Washington DC last week, with a special thanks to our host Melissa Martin ‘00! This event brought together alums from the last 60 years, from Kurt Malmgren, Class of 1959, to three graduates who just started their freshmen years at various colleges in the greater-DC area. What a night!
