🎒✏️ Back-to-School Fair!

East Providence families, save the date! BridgePointe Christian Church is hosting its annual Back-to-School Fair on Saturday, August 22, from 9–11 AM at East Providence High School — and it’s FREE for East Providence elementary students! 💙

Students can receive a new backpack filled with school supplies selected by the school department, plus enjoy:
🎪 Outdoor fun & carnival games
🦷 Dental & vision screenings
🥤 Refreshments
📚 After-school resources
🎒 And more!

Exciting news!

This parking lot at the corner of Pawtucket Ave and Howland Ave was purchased by the city from Dollar General across the street.

The dirt parking lot which has been used by both teachers and parents for dropping off and picking up students as well as parking will see major improvements, including stormwater collection swales, complete paving, new sidewalk on Howland Ave and a few trees.

Our goal is to get it this project done before school start.

Thank you to Council President Bob Rodericks and Ward three councilman Frank Fogarty for supporting this project and advocating to get this done for our East Providence School Department students and teachers at Kent Heights.

💙 A Special Message from Miss Dez 💙

As the school year comes to a close, Miss Dez has shared some exciting news with our Kent Heights community. While we are thrilled for her as she begins a new role in Human Resources at the Central Administration Building, it is hard to imagine our front office without her.

For so many years, Miss Dez has been the welcoming face, helping hand, listening ear, and caring heart that students, families, and staff could always count on. Simply put, she has been the glue that held us together. Her kindness, dedication, and unwavering support have helped make Kent Heights the special place it is today.

While we will miss seeing her smile in the front office each day, we are excited for this next chapter and know she will continue to make a positive impact wherever she goes.

Please join us in congratulating Miss Dez and thanking her for everything she has done for our school community. 💙

🍎✨Happy Retirement, Mrs. Vierra! ✨🍎

After 10 years of serving the students of East Providence - including right here at Kent Heights, where she has been part of our community in the most special way - it’s time for Mrs. Vierra to begin a brand new chapter! 🎉

Mrs. Vierra has brought heart, patience, and dedication to every single student she worked with. And as a Kent Heights parent herself, she didn’t just teach in our community - she lived it.

We hear retirement comes with some exciting plans: more time with family, more time with those grandkids 💛 and plenty of good books to read! 📚

Thank you for everything you have given to our kids and our school. You will be missed more than words can say. Wishing you all the rest, adventure, and joy you so deserve!

🎓✨ Congratulations to our Kindergarten & Fifth Grade students! ✨🎓

Yesterday we celebrated two very special milestones at Kent Heights as our Kindergarten and Fifth Grade students marked the next step in their educational journeys. We are so proud of all they have accomplished and can't wait to see what the future holds for each of them!

🚨 IMPORTANT: While promotion ceremonies have been celebrated, our school year is not over yet! The last day of school is June 17th, and attendance remains important for all students.

💪 We look forward to finishing the year strong together.
