We can’t believe it’s already the last week of the 2025–2026 school year! 🤖

At MI School, we always wrap up our Technology Unit—and the school year—with Robot Week! Today, our students read robot-themed books, sang songs, and enjoyed creative robot activities.

👶 Our babies made adorable robot crafts.
🧲 Our toddlers built robots with Magna-Tiles.
🤖 Our preschoolers used their imaginations to move and act like robots!

What a fun way to celebrate learning, creativity, and technology!

Today is a bittersweet day as we say goodbye to our sweet Mia. 💙

Exactly two years ago, on August 20, 2024, Mia walked through the doors of MI School for the very first time. Since then, we have had the incredible privilege of watching her grow from a curious little one into the joyful, confident, loving girl she is today.

We have shared so many precious moments—her first scribbles, favorite books, birthday celebrations, classroom adventures, and the beautiful friendships she formed along the way. Mia’s bright smile and happy spirit have brought so much warmth to our school, and she will be deeply missed by her friends and teachers.

To celebrate her journey, Ms. Katie and our teachers lovingly created this special memory book, filled with moments from her very first day to her last. Each page tells a small part of a beautiful story that we will always treasure. 📖💕

Dear Mia, although today marks the end of your time at MI School, you will always be part of our MI School family. We hope you carry these memories—and all the love behind them—with you wherever your next adventure leads.

Keep smiling, keep learning, and keep shining, sweet girl. We love you and will miss you more than words can say. 🌈✨

✍️ Wednesday Afternoon Enrichment: Writing Practice!

Our preschool friends practiced tracing and writing their names using dry-erase markers. This activity helps strengthen letter recognition, proper letter formation, pencil grip, and fine motor skills—all while building confidence in early writing! 🌟📝

✈️ Our toddler friends had a fun-filled morning!

During circle time, they explored the calendar, weather, alphabet, shapes, and colors. They also enjoyed reading books about airplanes. 📚

Next, their teachers demonstrated how to launch a paper airplane, and everyone watched it soar through the air! The children were excited to take turns flying their own airplanes while exploring movement, direction, and cause and effect. What a fun way to bring our airplane story to life! 🛫😊

✈️ Yesterday, our preschoolers’ imaginations took flight!

We read On This Airplane, a fun book that takes children on an exciting journey through an airplane and introduces the different things they may see and do during a flight.

After story time, the children flew their own paper airplanes, aiming for openings of different sizes and heights. As they practiced tossing the airplanes overhand and trying to guide them through the openings, they strengthened their gross motor skills, hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and ability to control the direction and force of their throws.

It was a wonderful way to combine literacy, movement, and learning through play! 📖✈️🎯

🚗💨 Whose car will travel the farthest?

Today, each preschooler chose a toy car for a fun racing experiment! Using wooden blocks and a cardboard tube, the children built a ramp and tunnel. One by one, they released their cars, measured how far each one traveled, recorded the results, and compared their numbers.

The farthest-traveling car reached 120 centimeters, while the second-place car traveled 67 centimeters! 🏆

This hands-on activity introduced our young scientists to prediction, motion, measurement, number recognition, and comparison—all through playful learning! 🔬📏🌟

🚗🎨 Our little artists put creativity in motion with car-wheel painting!

By rolling toy cars through paint and across the paper, our Bright Beginners created unique tracks and patterns while exploring cause and effect, strengthening fine motor skills, and enjoying a fun sensory experience. Every little road led to a beautiful masterpiece! 🛞✨
