It's the height of summer in Rhode Island and, while many of our families are not (yet!) thinking about the first day of school, we have already begun our early preparations! The classrooms are all packed up for deep cleaning, new windows are getting installed, school forms are being created, and lots of planning is underway... Here's a sneak peek at our construction zone. We can't wait to show you the finished project in September! 🪟🪟🪟

Practical Life at the Elementary level builds upon the many skills learned in the Primary years, expanding well beyond the classroom shelves. Scooping and pouring now have real world applications in caring for plants and animals both inside and outside of the school. Additionally, this care of the environment relates to classroom work on habitat, ecosystems and the interconnectedness of our universe, as presented in Montessori Cosmic Education lessons. Each activity, job and lesson has meaningful purpose that is aligned to our school mission and vision.
