ENGINEERING A WORLD OF POSSIBILITIES
Grade 3 students from Canadochly Elementary explored exciting science concepts with Steven Metzler from the Engineering Society of York last week! Through fun, interactive demonstrations, students explored physical science concepts while putting their curiosity and critical thinking skills to work.

Experiences like these show what we hope to accomplish through Knight's Next, our district-wide effort to help students explore their interests, discover opportunities, and start thinking about the many paths available to them. We're not asking our elementary students to choose a career just yet. 🙂 Instead, we're hoping to spark curiosity, introduce new possibilities, and help students discover what excites them along the way!

A big thank you to Mr. Metzler and the Engineering Society of York for sharing their time and expertise with our kids!

Welcome to Canadochly, Madison!

We are excited to introduce the Eastern York community to Ms. Madison Rambler! 👏👏🎉

Madison will be joining the team at Canadochly Elementary and Eastern York Middle School as a Speech-Language Pathologist, and we're excited to have her as part of the Eastern York family!

Madison is a graduate of Temple University (Undergraduate) and Lebanon Valley College (Graduate). She enjoys walking her dog (Apollo), working out, shopping, and trying new restaurants!

Here are a few fun facts about Madison:
She is getting married in September!
Her favorite Maple Donut is the Fruity Pebbles donut.
Her first job was at TJ Maxx.
Her favorite team is the Philadelphia Eagles.
She coaches an AAU basketball team.
If she had her own podcast, she would love to interview Paige Bueckers.
Her favorite word is "Whaaaaat?" 😄

We're thrilled to welcome Madison to Eastern York and know she'll make a positive impact on the students and staff at Canadochly and the Middle. Please join us in giving her a warm Eastern York welcome - It's a great DAY to be a KNIGHT!

☀️ Early Dismissal Notice – Tuesday, May 19 ☀️

Due to the forecasted hot temperatures in our non-air conditioned buildings, Kreutz Creek Elementary School and Canadochly Elementary School will dismiss students early tomorrow, Tuesday, May 19, at 12:45 PM.

Please plan accordingly for student pickup and afternoon arrangements. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep our students and staff safe and comfortable.

It was GREAT to have Dr. Mancuso in our classrooms this week!

"M" IS FOR "MYSTERY READER!"

The first graders at Canadochly Elementary continued their "ABC Countdown" through the end of the school year. The day of "M" brought a MYSTERY READER to the classes. The mystery reader was none other than Dr. Mancuso, our district Superintendent, who stopped by to share the beloved story If You Take a Mouse to School with students. From smiles and laughter to great listening ears, it was a wonderful way to celebrate reading together. We think it’s safe to say the students would welcome him back anytime… especially if he brings another good book!
