On September 15, 1980, eleven visionary women chartered the Kappa Iota Zeta Chapter in East Point, Georgia, laying the foundation for a legacy that continues today.

As we celebrate our 46th Charter Day, we honor our Charter Members and the generations of members who have carried their vision forward. For 46 years, KIZ has remained committed to Sisterhood, Scholarship, Service, Finer Womanhood, and making an impact throughout the communities we serve.

Today, we celebrate where we began, all that has been accomplished, and the legacy that continues to move Kappa Iota Zeta forward.

Each year, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated solemnly pauses to honor the lives lost, the courage of first responders who gave everything, and the resilience of survivors who continue to bear the weight of that day. We remember not only the tragedy, but the unity, strength, and humanity that emerged in its wake.
Our hearts remain with the families, friends, and communities forever changed by the events of September 11th. Their pain is enduring, and so is our commitment to remembrance.
