It is the intent of the ICC child Center to provide quality care and a developmentally appropriate curriculum, which meets the needs of children as individuals. Our program promotes social, emotional, motor and cognitive development through a play environment. Helping children develop a positive sense of self is a primary goal. Our staff of experienced early childhood educators and child development program students provide a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for children.

For Week of the Young Child "Work Together Wednesday", "Artsy Thursday", and "Family Friday" we held an afternoon party for families to join their children in painting and snacking on our "work together snack mix". This fun event allowed time for families to get to know each other and their children's teachers as well as spend quality time with their child.

Thank you to one of our former parents for continuing to bring music to our program. Paul Resnick has played for our children many times throughout the years and always brings a lively tune. For NAEYC's Week of the Young Child he not only played music, but read us his new children's book "Rusty and Renee's Island Adventures". What a special start to our week!

Guest Reader Dominique MacDonald read the book she wrote in honor of her mom who was a long time Children's Center teacher before she retired. Ms. Linda passed away several years ago but many of us still remember her for her love of children, infectious laughter and capacity for love.

Special guests included several former parents and a student who loved Ms. Linda.
