Back to daycare and back to making memories! 🐵
I brought home a little surprise for each of my littles from Nevada... these adorable magnetic monkeys! They loved them! 🩷💙
It couldn't have worked out any better because on our very first day back, we read Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed... and I just happened to have five little monkeys with me that day! 📚🙈
Watching their excitement over such a simple little gift reminded me that it's often the smallest gestures that make the biggest memories. I sure missed these sweet faces while I was away, and it feels so good to be back together again! ❤️👣

🐄🌾 A summer day at Fondulac Farm Park is always one of our favorite adventures!
A few weeks ago, the kids and I spent the morning exploring all the wonderful animals at Fondulac Farm Park, and we had the best time! We started by taking our annual group picture with the big cow, then headed inside to thank the staff for hosting Donation Day before dropping our donation in the box.
Each child received a feed cone, and they loved feeding the ducks, goats, cows, horses, and even the fish! There were so many smiles, curious little faces, and sweet moments as they met each animal.
Of course, no trip is complete without time in the indoor barn playground. The slide was definitely the favorite, and there were so many fun things to climb on, explore, and discover.
I'm so thankful for places like this that give children the opportunity to learn through hands-on experiences. Nature has always been one of my happy places. I love the trees, the sunshine, the breeze, the stars, and the peace that comes from simply being outdoors. Watching the children discover that same appreciation for God's creation is one of my favorite parts of what I do. Spending the day with the animals was just an added bonus! 🌳☀️🐴
Thank you, Fondulac Farm Park, for another wonderful visit! We can't wait to come back next year.

🐘 Happy World Elephant Day! 🐘

I'm a little late sharing these photos, but we had so much fun celebrating World Elephant Day together! Each of my daycare friends got their very own stuffed elephant, and we created the cutest elephant keepsakes using our tiny hands and footprints. 🩶🎨

A few fun elephant facts:
🐘 Elephants are the largest land animals on Earth.
🐘 They use their trunks to eat, drink, smell, and even show affection.
🐘 Elephant families are led by the oldest female, called the matriarch.

I love finding fun ways to learn while making sweet memories together. ❤️👣

As many of you know, my daycare page was taken from me back in February, and I've had to start completely over from scratch. Building it back up has taken time, so every like, comment, follow, and especially every share truly means so much.

Happy National S'mores Day! 🍫🔥🤎
Today the daycare kiddos and I gathered around the kitchen island and turned it into our very own little s'mores station! We pulled out the s'mores kit with indoor burner, then added chocolate, marshmallows, graham crackers, and of course... sprinkles! ✨
There was lots of excitement, sticky fingers, big smiles, and plenty of laughter. Sometimes the sweetest memories are made doing the simplest things together.

After 20 wonderful years of serving Central Illinois families, I'm excited to announce that Sela's Little Feet Daycare is expanding to better serve families who work evenings!
Now Enrolling for Second-Shift Childcare
🕕 Hours: 6:00 PM to Midnight
Your child will enjoy: • Hot dinner & an evening snack • Story time and quiet evening activities • A peaceful bedtime routine • A safe, loving home environment
Your child's safety is always my top priority. Photo ID is required for anyone I do not personally know.
Second-shift openings are limited! If you or someone you know is looking for dependable evening childcare, I'd love to chat.

Learning goes far beyond words. 🤟💜

We've been learning songs with sign language, and it's amazing how it helps us communicate in a whole new way. Watching these little ones sing with their hands, smile with their hearts, and grow more confident every day is such a blessing.
Add in a big group hug, plenty of giggles, and a tickle chase, and you've got one very happy circle time. Those joyful little moments are often the biggest part of childhood. 🥰
