Congratulations to all of our pre-K graduates! Even with all of our technical difficulties the ceremony was great. We loved all the children's answers to what they want to be when they grow up. So proud of you all! ❤️❤️

Come join us and some of the Church members for our trunk or treat this sunday the 27th from 2-4. It is being hosted inside again this year so there isn't a worry about the weather. We can't wait to see everyone past and present and your wonderful costumes!

Leap of Faith Learning Center is looking for a Temporary/Part-Time (with the possibility of becoming permanent) Assistant Teacher for our 2-year-old classroom. This position is for at least a year. We are looking for someone passionate about teaching and inspiring children to learn. The ideal candidate will be energetic, creative, and passionate about teaching.

Leap of Faith Learning Center is a small faith-based learning center in East Peoria, IL. We are a fun, creative and energetic company. We pride ourselves on developing positive relationships not only with the families we work with but with our employees as well. We care for children 2-5 years old and work on kindergarten readiness.

Duties:
- Create and implement a fun, safe, and nurturing learning environment.
- Provide daily care, safety, and instruction for each child in your care.
- Assist the Lead teacher with transitioning from one activity to another.
- Assist with diaper changing and positive potty training.
- Maintain a clean and safe learning environment.
- Use positive reinforcement to encourage children to learn and grow.
- Encourage children to ask questions and be creative.
- Work with the classroom teacher to help solve any problems that arise.
- Engage with students of all ages and backgrounds.
- Develop professional skills and expertise in working with children and families of all learning levels and abilities.

Skills:
- Experience as a Classroom Teacher or Teacher's Assistant is preferred but optional.
- Ability to work well with children of all ages.
- Able to understand and communicate with parents.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Salary: $14.00-$15.00 per hour

Schedule:
4-hour shift (8:30a-12:30p)
Monday to Friday
No nights
No weekends

Education:
High school or equivalent (Require)
CDA (preferred but not required)

Experience:
1 year experience in childcare/teaching
(Preferred but not required)

As you know, the recent storm hit our playground equipment hard, and we lost several of our beloved toys. Our teachers contacted their friends and families and asked us to do the same to see if anyone had some old ones lying around so our students could still enjoy their outside time. We didn't expect the incredible response that came from our last post. Many of you asked us to put together a wish list, asked for our Venmo account for donations (both are posted below), and even donated several pieces you had at home. We want to say thank you, and we appreciate all that you guys do for us! We are truly blessed to have your continued support for our center.

Unfortunately due to the storms last night our playground took a big hit. All but one of our playhouses were destroyed along with "Gus" our caterpillar tunnel. Luckily our big "Castle" slide, rock wall and Jeep Climber survived.
But if anyone has a playhouse they are no longer using or knows of anyone getting rid of theirs please let us know! The children love the playhouses and are sad they are gone.

Also want to say Thank you to Miss Melissa, Miss Brianna and Miss Britney. They picked up all the broken branches, and house pieces from the playground, parking lot and even the bank behind the playground where some ended up so the children could still go out and have water day today.
