It's been awhile since the last post. The custom woodwork part of the business lately has consumed all my time. But starting the new year I'm keeping time to grow the classes part of the business. I will be adding some new and exciting classes throughout the year.

Here is the list of classes as of now posted for the months of January and February. and a few for March and April.

Besides these classes I do also offer private classes at a $80/hr rate in which we build a project of your choice or learn a technique in the shop. Since 2019 I've helped countless people accomplish projects that they built right here in my shop with my assistance.

Are you interested in green woodworking? How about taking a class at my shop where you can build a green wood built shaker chair just like these. My good friend Justin will be teaching the class at my shop and show you step by step the process to completing a chair. You will get experience using a shave horse with a draw knife, spokeshave, using a froe to split the logs into chair parts, and chair joinery.

Please message me if you are interested in taking this class in April. It will most likely be taught on the weekends.

Learn how to create twisted tapered legs with the bandsaw and handplanes, use a tablesaw to bevel a tabletop, and use Domino joinery for the stretchers to the legs.

Come on down next Thursday the 9th 6:30pm - 9:30pm and learn how to make your own Moxon Vise to take home. We will be making the vise out of maple and using the Tay Tools hardware which is great quality. You will learn to use the tablesaw, bandsaw, drill press, chisels, and a quick to use finish.

Do hand cut dovetails seem intimidating to you? Then you should sign up for the ultimate dovetail workshop class. In this class you will practice making hand cut dovetail in both through and half blind over a course of a long day in the shop. This class does require a set of hand tools to attend the class. If you cannot source or have all of them, I do have some extras at the shop to be used.

Class dates are: March 18th Saturday @ 9:00am - 3:30pm

The class price is: $300 + $25 materials fee = $325 Total price

In this 2 part class you will be introduced to cabinetmaking by building a hanging wall cabinet. You will learn how to break down plywood, mill lumber to parts sizes, construct a face frame, assembly of cabinets, constructing a raised panel door, fitting a door to its opening, and hanging a door properly.

Part 1 class dates are: May 13th Saturday, 14th Sunday @ 9:00am - 3:30pm, 15th Monday @ 6:30pm - 8:30pm

Part 2 class dates are: May 16th Tuesday & 17th Wednesday @ 6:30pm - 9:30pm

The class price is:
Cabinetmaking part 1 $500 + $164 materials fee = $664 Total price
Cabinetmaking part 2 $320 + $0 (materials fee is included in part1)

Do you do a lot of hand tool joinery but don't like being bent over using your tools? How about building yourself a moxon vise in just one night? By raising your work to a more eye level, your back will feel more comfortable working on those dovetails.

Have you ever wondered how to make an end grain cutting board? Well, in this 3 session class you will complete a maple and walnut board. You will learn a lot about milling wood properly and using the tablesaw.
