Today we mourn the loss of an American icon, a beloved philanthropist and a proud 4-H alumna, Dolly Parton. Her extraordinary life was defined not only by her incredible talent, but by her unwavering generosity, compassion and commitment to helping others.

For generations of young people, Dolly embodied what it means to use your gifts in service of others. From her roots in 4-H to her lifelong investment in literacy, education and community, she showed us that true leadership is grounded in humility, kindness, and purpose. As Dolly once said, "storms make trees take deeper roots." 💚

A proud 4-H alumna, she reminded us that challenges can strengthen us and help us grow. That wisdom will continue to inspire young people and communities for generations to come. We extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends, and the millions whose lives she touched. Her legacy of hope, generosity, and service will live on. 🍀

This is a great opportunity for youth ages 14-18 in Putnam or St Johns County. We would love to see some youth representing Putnam there.

School's back, and so is our annual Speech contest! 🎉 Get those vocal cords warmed up, folks! Florida Farm Bureau Federation's already given us the topic, now it's your turn to do the research (aka binge-read Wikipedia 🤣). You could win some serious cash and move on to district & state - all while advocating for our amazing farmers and ranchers! We need your voices, so don't be shy! 🎤

Next Tuesday September 1st at 6PM is our first County Council meeting of the 2026-2027 year. We hope to have every club represented with at least 1 delegate if not 2. The officer team worked hard this summer to plan out the year and needs the support of the members to help make it a success. We once again will be offering the $5 dinner option at the meetings to help families out. The menu for September's meeting is spaghetti and salad. If you plan to eat please be sure to RSVP on the Google form https://forms.gle/8moeUA39H6MtgWnA6 or contact Mrs. Bobbi
