Hi. I am the wife of Jim Marinello (OLAS '72), who attended Essex Catholic. The Essex Catholic Class of '76 reunion committee seeks contact information for two OLAS graduates. Is anyone in touch with Felix Lopez (OLAS '72) or Craig White (OLAS Class President '72)? Craig sent his children to OLAS as well, so perhaps the parents council from the '80s? Any advice or information you could provide on how to locate these class mates would be greatly appreciated. What information would you require to post this search on your site? Former Sister of Charity, Sister Marion Robert. I don’t know how many years Sister Marion taught at Our Lady of All Souls, but I was fortunate to have her for my 7th grade teacher (1964/1965).

We were very fortunate having her for our teacher. She was soft-spoken, articulate and kind. Our class, unfortunately, was tough on her ... she was so young.

Marilyn A. Fingerhut, Ph.D. '64
Consultant for the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)
A 1964 graduate, Marilyn Fingerhut, Ph.D. began her career as an Instructor in Biology at the College of Saint Elizabeth and then Associate Professor of Biology at St. Peter’s College in Jersey City, N.J.

Dr. Fingerhut started her scientific and leadership roles at the U. S. National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) in 1981, where she worked for 25 years as an epidemiologist, manager and Chief of Staff. During her career, she conducted innovative research on dioxin, established herself as an expert for occupational women’s health issues, and greatly accelerated occupational health risk assessment on a global level.

From 2000 to 2002, she was assigned by NIOSH to the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva to work in the WHO global Occupational Health Unit. One of her many responsibilities was to coordinate an integrated program of work by the international Network of 65 WHO Collaborating Centers for Occupational Health. Upon her return to NIOSH in 2003 until 2012, she served as its International Coordinator assisting both NIOSH and WHO. Following her retirement in 2005, she has continued to be a consultant for NIOSH.

She is the author of more than 60 peer-reviewed papers related to occupational health and a recipient of the highest award of the U.S. Public Health Service, the Distinguished Service Medal.

Dr. Fingerhut has earned a B.S. in Biology from what is now Saint Elizabeth University, a Ph.D. in Cell Biology from the Catholic University of America and a M.S. in Occupational Health at Harvard University.
