Congratulations to GNAL's Employee of the Month, Mary Ellen Sillcox!

Mary Ellen has served faithfully on GNAL’s Board longer than anyone else, which is very impressive considering how much work these humans seem to create for themselves. She gives her time, works incredibly hard, keeps things running, brings joy wherever she goes, and has been an important part of GNAL for many, many years. We couldn’t do what we do without her!

More importantly, Mary Ellen feeds me. She gives excellent pets, understands my needs, and recognizes that I am the most important member of this organization. Obviously, this demonstrates exceptional judgment.

Thank you, Mary Ellen, for everything you do for GNAL —and especially everything you do for me!

This week at GNAL was busy for sure!

Our Cycle 5 ZENTANGLE wrapped up this week with a colorful and inspired accordion fold ZIA project - which Frida supervised from the comfort of laps and carpet squares.

Frida also gave some hands on instruction during Kiln It hand building to our students who worked on templates this week.

Our kiln was fired everyday so far this week with students from our four clay classes and two clay studios turning our work left and right!

Finally, we participated in Eisenhower Middle School’s Welcome Back night providing resources and information to students and families.
