Monday is the 35th annual Nicolaus Labor Day Parade! The theme this year is “ All Aboard the Memories!”
Please come out and support this huge fundraiser! It raises money for all 4 of the South Sutter County schools: Pleasant Grove School, Browns Elementary, Marcum-Illinois Elementary and East Nicolaus High School. Each school will keep the profits from their own food booths, but all other monies raised will be evenly distributed amongst all of the schools. It is a HUGE fundraiser and all of that money goes right back into our schools!
Our transitional kindergarteners and kindergarteners will be riding on our amazing float! Parents have been working hard to ensure our float is Blue Ribbon worthy….and we know it will be!!
Browns School will be hosting the pancake breakfast this year which goes from 7:00 am – 10:00 am, then following that, our own Marcum Parents’ Club will be selling delicious hotdogs and hamburgers, ENHS Boosters will be selling tacos and Pleasant Grove will have a Mexican fruit / ice cream / fresh pressed lemonade stand! Come hungry, the food will be amazing.
The Nicolaus Labor Day Parade will have music, co****le, a big kids area (the LDP Committee has worked extra hard this year to make this spectacular for the kids), 40 + crafters (vendors), a bar, a vegetable contest and many more things!
