A heartfelt thank you to our incredible community for coming together for our recent workday! When children see adults working together with purpose, care, and joy they experience the value of contributing to something larger than themselves. We model work ethic, responsibility, cooperation, and stewardship—and show that a strong community is something we all help create.
We’re grateful for every helping hand and espcially to the farmers and pizza makers who fed many hungry workers!

Teachers have started gathering to prepare for the start of the new school year! Faculty end their weekly meetings with the Calendar of the Soul, a book Rudolf Steiner wrote for adults to meditate on a verse based on the changing rhythms of nature and the cosmos week to week throughout the year. New faculty is also given a bouquet of flowers and sang into the circle. Our school was excited to welcome this year a new Strings teacher, French Language teacher, and many new Early Childhood teachers in our various programs - alongside a new front office administrator for the grades. We are excited for this 26-27 school year and cannot wait to welcome the students back to campus!

We have as of this week an unexpected, last minute opening in our older toddler class starting September 8th! We are looking to onboard one new family with a child age 2-3, for a full time 5 days a week spot, subsidy accepted. Offering a caring, rhythmic environment where children are cared for with warmth and respect, Sweet Clover Nursery’s curriculum of care is informed by Waldorf education and the principles developed by pediatrician Emmi Pikler. This is a rare opportunity this late in the summer - please reach out to [email protected] to inquire about applying to our program!

Children build confidence from the inside out when they have the freedom to create, experiment, and express themselves. Our arts-integrated curriculum gives children a chance to make choices, take risks, work through frustration, and discover that there isn't one “right” way to do things. Whether they are painting a mask, sculpting with beeswax, or mixing colors and seeing what happens, creative play supports self-expression, self-regulation, problem-solving, and confidence.

Our grades classes are open for enrollment. The program serves children in grades 1st through 8th grade. To set up a tour and learn more visit https://www.ovws.org/admissions-introduction

School is still in session for our youngest students! Our nursery school babies and toddlers attend year round, getting to experience the height of summer alongside their peers and taking part in the many fun activities teachers have to offer - water play, outdoor picnics, tending to the garden beds, and so much more. Sweet Clover Nursery facilitates a space for children to gain independence and confidence at their own pace all the while being nurtured by loving adults. What a gift to have such an abundance of outdoor space to scoot, crawl, and run!

Children learn to care for the world by experiencing it. From the very beginning, children are encouraged to engage with the world around them through unhurried play, close observation, and daily time in nature. Children develop a sense of belonging with the living world through these experiences. From that belonging grows gratitude, responsibility, and love.

"May my soul bloom in love for all existence."
