There is no practice or game for the 5th/6th Grade team today. East Moline Christian does not have a 5th/6th Grade team. They will have practice tomorrow at their normal time.

The 7th/8th Grade game against EMC is still tonight at Northeast starting at 4:30.

Support our Rocket Boosters
Tomorrow night (Tues., Nov. 4)

11/02/2025

From Mrs. Sensabaugh's weekly NEJH email:

Thank you so much to all of the families who helped us with the student hunger drive this month. We have had amazing participation and are happy to help support United Township in reaching its goal.

Attendance Goals
I wanted to set a reminder about our attendance goals for this quarter. We are trying to reach an average of 95% attendance for all grade levels and have incentives for students and families who reach this goal. We need your help to achieve our goal!

Family incentives- Each week, all students who have 95% or higher are entered into a raffle. At midterms and the end of the quarter, we will be selecting 2 families to receive $100 Walmart gift cards to show our appreciation for the parents/guardians who are helping us reach this goal.
Student incentives- Each week, we record the grade-level attendance averages. The grade levels that have an average attendance rate of 95% or closest to, will get a popcorn party at midterms. We will do the same thing for the end of the quarter with a different reward. Additionally, students who do not miss more than a day of school each month receive a small treat at lunch.

Rocket Booster Spirit Night
Our Rocket Boosters will be hosting a Spirit Night at Godfather's Pizza on Tuesday, November 4th, from 4:00p-8:00p. Stop by and grab some dinner while supporting our Boosters, students, and staff! See the attached flyer for more information.

Rocket Booster Craft and Vendor Fair
Our Rocket Boosters are also holding their annual Craft and Vendor Fair this Saturday, November 8th, at Northeast Jr. High School from 10:00am until 2:00pm. Please see the attached flyer for more information. There will be goodie bags for the first 40 customers!

Community Support
We wanted to share a helpful community resource for anyone who may be in need of extra food support. Taco John’s in Davenport is offering free meals to anyone who needs them—no questions asked.
Here are the details:
What’s included: A bean or beef burrito and a junior order of Potato Olés for each guest.
How it works: Each family member receiving a meal must be present at the time of the visit.
How to order: Simply ask for the Community Special when you arrive.
Taco John’s is generously offering this to help make sure everyone in our community has access to a warm meal. We’re so grateful for local businesses like this that go above and beyond to care for our neighbors. Please feel free to share this information with anyone who might benefit.
Taco Johns is located at 1915 E Kimberly Road, Davenport, IA

Upcoming Field Trip
On Monday, November 10th, we will be taking a whole school field trip to the Bartlett Center in Moline to view the Military Veterans’ Memorial.
