It’s done!!! Yay! Jim Power, Jeff Wiedenmann and Mike Chapman assembled the playground this last week.

Through the summer Dave Kelley and the trustees committee worked with Ms. Sarah to make sure the playground was ordered and a fence for security was also put in.

It took 2 years of fundraising to pay for this playground and a church team to help get it put together! A BIG thank you to that contributed to our fundraising. We appreciate the teachers and families who helped plan the fundraising events!

We are so thankful for all the church support towards these projects!! The kids are loving their new playground and the teachers are happy that we have a safe environment for the kids to play!

Today was a special day for Merry Sunshine Preschool teachers. I had the chance to give the history of this magnificent, 55 year-old program that I have the privilege of directing. The founder, Betty Dahlberg who is now 95, had a special message recorded all the way from Florida to us today. She started the program at Christ Church Quad Cities so long ago with the intention of sharing Jesus with so many students and also helping guide them in their developmental journey.

My heart is so full. I stood there with past teachers, Ruth Stewart, Jeanie Hess and Connie Ellison and thanked God for this amazing position I get to do everyday. (Jack is pictured with Ruth Stewart, his Merry Sunshine teacher)

I couldn’t ask for a better team of teachers, Peggy Weatherly Schneider , Kellie Lindley, Romanie MB, Rachel Manthe and Teresa Hofmann! ❤️ ☀️

We had fun learning about fire safety last week.

Thank you for all your support tonight!! We had a great turn out and felt all the love from our families and the community!! Merry Sunshine Preschool is getting so close to reaching our fundraising goal for a new playground, we couldn’t have done this without you all!

Merry Sunshine Preschool has been around for many years and we had some past students come tonight! It was a great evening with many laughs and much fun had by all. ☀️🤍🙏🏻

Enrollment for Fall ‘24 has begun! We are so thrilled to offer a 3rd classroom which will be another 5 -day Pre-K program for our older 4-year olds and young 5-year olds for this coming year! We still have a few spots for the 5-day program but also offer our MWF for 4-year olds and T/TH for 3 year-olds. All the classes go from 8:20am-11:20am.

We are a play based preschool, meaning we focus on learning through play, along with teaching large group lessons, literacy support for Pre-K, playing outside, in the gym, or in our indoor playground and so much more! Merry Sunshine Preschool loves to connect with families and we hold lots of fun events throughout the school year! If you’re interested, please connect with us to come in for a tour.
