Thanks to the hard work, generosity and participation of our school community, our schools raised $2,007.00 through the 2026 Hannaford Helps Schools program. These funds will help us continue creating a positive, thriving environment for every student. Your support has made a meaningful impact on our school, and your involvement and encouragement truly make a difference for our students, teachers and staff. Thank you for your continued dedication to our school community!

Our Katahdin’s Community Champion for Fall 2026, John Montgomery, is someone whose commitment to young people extends far beyond the school day or any single job description.
As Dean of Students and Athletic Director at Schenck High School, John devotes countless hours, including late nights and weekends, to helping local kids learn, compete, belong, and succeed.
That dedication carries onto the court and field, where he coaches middle school girls’ basketball and high school baseball, and into the community through his longtime leadership of the Elks Lodge Hoop Shoot and Soccer Shoot.
Thank you, John, for your leadership, generosity, and willingness to continually show up for the young people of the Katahdin Region. The hours you invest may often happen quietly, but their impact is anything but.
The Katahdin Region sees you, appreciates you, and proudly recognizes you as our Fall 2026 Community Champion! ❤️
