Celebrating Pop Art this week. This project inspired by Lichtenstein, or as the kids kept@calling him, “…LINCOLN?!!!” is a forever staple at Doodles! 🤩

Open Studio begins the week of classes at Doodles. And this one has already, unsurprisingly, inspired the kids to take it a different/better direction. 🦸🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️

Although I guess a superhero would say they have the most important occupation. 😂 Can’t wait to see what the rest of the week’s classes bring!

Can’t commit to a class or just want to come hang every now and then? Every Tuesday is Open Studio from 4-6pm. All imaginations are welcome. 🤗

Back to School night!!! And!! This marks one year since beginning these kids themed craft nights. The best move I made at Doodles so far. The best part was how many of the same kids returned for this one in particular. 🥹

The crafts were simple and easy but SO fun. As always I didn’t get enough pics but love what’s here.

I will NOT be doing every other week so keep an eye out for the next list of upcoming themes. They will sell out quickly - especially one in particular!

There’s so many new followers after a few (of my fav!) posts I shared - thank you! And welcome. 🤗 It’s about time I reintroduce myself so here we go.

This isn’t short btw. 😂

I’m Jenn, the woman behind Doodles Kids Art Lab in coastal CT. 👋 Before I opened the studio I was a photographer and worked with families, mostly. Realizing I communicate better with kids than adults 😬 it was only a matter of time I’d find a path to work with them.

Well that path proved to be a little out of the ordinary with jumping right to opening a brick and mortar kids art studio. However, very long story short:

Doodles combines my passion for protecting childhood + keeping creativity alive beyond childhood years. And no time like the present, THIS present in particular, to practice what I preach.

My favorite thing to do at the studio is create experiences kids will never forget. From painting crazy objects like a donated wedding dress, allowing handprints on the walls, offering tools and materials to create that are a little unconventional and more.

I’ll always say everything is for the kids but it’s also for you, too. For the parents who believe the same but can’t do these things at home. Arts and crafts are cool but planning and cleaning up after the mess doesn’t fit too easily in our crazy schedules we all have. I get it. 🫶

Fall at Doodles is HERE!!!
And there are lots of ways to make art with us this season. 🤗👇

Our fall schedule includes kids art classes, after school art club, toddler art + sensory play, open studio and our new My First Art Class for little artists ready to try a class on their own.

At Doodles, we’re big on giving kids the materials, the space and the freedom to make something that actually feels like theirs. Some days that means painting. Some days it’s cardboard, clay, collage, sensory play or a material they’ve never used before.

Fall classes begin September 2 and registration is open now!
