This is a space at Treehouse that makes me smile every time I walk past it.

Sometimes the simplest spaces hold the most magic! ✨ Our school-age bus stop fairy garden is a beautiful example of child-led, nature-inspired creativity. With a few rocks, fallen branches, colorful ribbons, and tiny treasures, the children have transformed an ordinary spot beneath the trees into a place filled with wonder and imagination. Its beauty lies in its simplicity—a space created by children, inspired by nature, and always evolving.

Rainy Days are great days for Teacher Observations! Today during my visit to Mini Maples, the first thing I noticed was the sensory table was open for exploration.

Looks like a lot of fun... but learning is happening, too:
This autumn-themed sensory table with a heavy focus on orange is a powerhouse for toddler development. As toddlers scrub the real pumpkins with toothbrushes and pour orange water through the funnel, they strengthen their hand muscles, build hand-eye coordination, and explore foundational scientific concepts like cause-and-effect and volume. At the same time, hunting for the foam letter 'M' and number '8' amid the sensory play provides a natural, low-pressure introduction to letter and number recognition, while the monochromatic theme reinforces color identification in an engaging, hands-on way.

TREEHOUSE Farmer's Market is this afternoon from 3-4:30 under the tent in our parking lot! Many child-made items, lemonade & iced tea, as well as some other fun items. We invite past and present families to stop by anytime from 3-4:30 this afternoon!

Please note if it becomes STORMY we will need to end the event. But a little rain never stops us!!

At this evenings staff meeting at Treehouse we created "Story Stones!" Each educator picked a book and painted stones to represent the story. Some of them felt shy about their creations, so I won't share the photos without their permission - I do sincerely appreciate their willingness to engage in this creative activity and I truly loved every single one. It was a beautiful and relaxing evening of casual conversation and creativity.

I am vulnerably sharing my creation - I chose to create stones for one of my all time favorites "The Watermelon Seed!" We then left our Story Stones & books in a classroom of our choice. I hope Summer Magnolias Preschool classroom enjoys The Watermelon Seed tomorrow!

If you are on our waitlist and seeking a preschool slot, please reach out to [email protected] and let us know your child's name, DOB, and desired schedule. We offer full day 7:30-4:30 (any 2 3 4 or 5 day a week schedule) or morning preschool (9:05-11:55 or 9:05-12:40).

The Treehouse Team has prepped the building and the classrooms for our Summer Program to begin tomorrow! The time and care that goes in to getting ready for the start of summer is truly remarkable. At the beginning of Prep Days - held only twice a year - it always feels like we are conquering something impossible. But 9 hours later with 23 members of our Educator Team working together - we did it!

For Summer: We still have room this summer for Infants (temporary - only Summer spots!) and School Age! Our toddler and preschool program are mostly full with just some drop in days available in each.
