Step Up Day 2026 - our 5th Step Up Day Celebration at Treehouse FSLC!
We would love to flood this post with responses from our Treehouse Community! What was your favorite moment today? Share a comment, a photo... or what was your favorite memory of the school year? Your kindness, words, and photos mean so much.
(Note: we kindly ask that you only post photos of your own children, thank you!)
This year we end the year with:
**22** Kindergarten graduates!
**125** total students enrolled in 9 classrooms.
and a team of
**5** Leaders
**37** dedicated educators (including **5** newly graduated COOP students who completed high school in an Early Education and Care track and are now certified EEC teachers!!)
and **8** interns who are in an Early Childhood Education and Care track that we were honored to have with us from November until June
plus 3 generous long-time volunteers and 1 very busy maintenance support (Mr. Wayne!)
When I pulled up this morning with my car packed with items for the day - and saw the Outdoor Classroom flooded with the flowers the children made - I had a moment. A moment of pride in our Community - who we are, what we stand for, what we believe in, and what we have built. Together. Because it takes a Community in the Early Education and Care field.
Step Up Day is not just about moving to a new classroom or a new school. It is about honoring every child's next step. Every step is meaningful, and every child has something special to celebrate.
As the President of Treehouse, I would like to take a moment to recognize and thank our incredible leaders, educators, volunteers, COOP students, and interns who supported our program this year. The dedication they bring to Treehouse each day make all of this possible. They create the environment where children feel safe to learn, grow, and be themselves. Thank you for the countless moments of care, encouragement, and connection you provide throughout the year. I am so grateful for all that you do.
To our children: thank you for filling our days with joy, curiosity, creativity, and wonder. To our families: thank you for trusting us to be part of your children's journey and for being such an important part of our community.
This year is the final year that Miss Tawny’s former students will be enrolled in our school year program at Treehouse. The final 7 students that she lovingly referred to as her babies are graduating on to kindergarten. We know Miss Tawny was here with us today in her own way.
Congratulations to all of our children on their next big step!
