Building for the future means thinking carefully about the resources we use today.

Excel Dryer has earned a Bronze International Green Apple Environment Award from The Green Organisation for Sustainable Development, Building & Construction, and Pollution Reduction.

Our Healthy Office Oasis renovation was designed to minimize environmental impact through choices including energy-efficient lighting, enhanced HVAC systems, sustainable materials, reduced electricity and water use, and the elimination of single-use paper towel waste through integrated hand drying technology.

A growing number of restaurant operators recognize that restroom cleanliness plays a critical role in the overall guest experience.

As customer traffic increased, Hot Table Panini found paper towels became expensive, labor-intensive, and time-consuming to replenish. By switching to touchless, high-speed hand drying solutions, they improved cleanliness, streamlined maintenance, and reduced operating costs.

Are hand dryers hygienic? The answer depends largely on the technology being used and how moisture is managed within the restroom.

Trough-style hand dryers collect water inside the unit during use. While designed to capture moisture, these collection areas can create additional cleaning and maintenance requirements. If not properly maintained, standing water and lingering moisture may contribute to hygiene concerns and increase the potential for contamination.

That's why many facility managers and restroom designers are prioritizing solutions that minimize moisture buildup, support effective airflow, and help keep restroom environments cleaner and easier to maintain.

What happens when young designers are given the opportunity to leave their mark on their community?

Through the Summer CoDesign Collaborative Student Challenge, eight Greater Boston high school students transformed everyday restroom spaces into platforms for creativity, storytelling, and public engagement. Their custom artwork now appears on hand dryers installed at iconic Boston locations, including Faneuil Hall, Boston City Hall, and the Boston Center for Youth & Families Thomas Johnson Community Center.
