Why did I decide to start Little Sprouts of East Longmeadow?

After nearly a decade spent working for a family-owned and operated, local business, I decided it was time to put my family first. The COVID-19 pandemic caused a major need for childcare - my kids included! I was working 40+ hours a week and shuffling my kids around because our daycare was closed. I knew it was time for a big change.

With my childcare experience and marketing background, I knew it would be perfect to convert our home and play space into a family child care. This allows me to be more present with my family and to express my creativity with my kids and childcare.

Our curriculum offers a well-rounded selection of activities that can be adjusted depending on your child’s age and educational needs. We learn through open-ended play, allowing your child to be in control of the activities and ask questions to further their understanding of our lessons. Ms. Bianca encourages kids to explore their messy side with sensory projects, gardening, and cooking. Check out a sample lesson plan attached in this post! 🐝💛

Long-term goals for Ms. Bianca of Little Sprouts is to become Infant/Toddler Montessori certified and implement more of the Montessori style teaching to our curriculum.

Slumberkins is an educational children’s brand founded by a family therapist and an educator working to promote positive social-emotional life skills in an approachable way. Through a variety of interactive channels our characters are brought to life as teaching devices, while the brand's products are tools that create comfort and support learning. Our company strives to enrich lives by bringing children and their caregivers together to create a deeper bond between the two.

In essence, Slumberkins are cuddly creatures with intention.

What is Family Child Care?

Little Sprouts of East Longmeadow will be a home daycare licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care of Massachusetts. This type of child care allows for the provider to care for the child in her home! The small setting and intimate conversations between the provider and her kids will allow for the curriculum and schedule to accommodate their needs. Although Ms. Bianca will be the main provider, in the future there will be opportunities for licensed assistants to join our space! Family Child Care combines the comforts of home with the socialization, tools and creative space of day care.
