Michigan State University’s Infrastructure Planning and Facilities (IPF) plans, builds, maintains and beautifies the physical environment in support of Michigan State University’s education, research and outreach missions, and directs the university’s long-term infrastructure planning goals. The unit’s experienced team of 1,000 professionals keep MSU running by supporting the infrastructure needs of the university and providing expert analysis for university objectives.

MSU Landscape Services has transformed acres of low-use turfgrass into native pollinator habitat across campus, creating spaces that support bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects while reducing maintenance demands and promoting sustainable land stewardship. Over the past two years, the MSU Plant Science Research Greenhouse Complex has undergone a remarkable transformation. This timelapse captures the progress behind a $35 million renovation and expansion project designed to support cutting-edge plant science research and education for years to come.
The project includes new greenhouse spaces, a modern headhouse and upgraded infrastructure that will help researchers conduct controlled experiments in a variety of environmental conditions.
