The 2026 East Lansing Community Photo Contest now open! 📸

The East Lansing Downtown Management Board (DMB) is the official sponsor of the contest. Contest winners will receive a Downtown East Lansing eGift Card in the following amounts: First Place: $150; Second Place: $100; Third Place: $50. Additionally, there will be 10 Honorable Mention winners who will each be awarded $10. A Downtown-specific winner will be awarded a $100 eGift card.

Contestants have until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, to submit up to five photos at https://cityofeastlansing.com/1650/Photo-Contest.

Happy Pride Month, East Lansing!

The City of East Lansing recognizes June as Pride Month and the Pride flag is being flown at City Hall and the East Lansing Hannah Community Center.

Did you know: In 1972, the City of East Lansing became the first city in the nation to enact civil rights protections for gay people.

Thursday's Science Fair was Incredible! The staff who organized it would like to express their gratitude to all the students who participated in the fair for their hard work. Additionally, they would like to acknowledge the ELEF for their generous grant that helped us organize the event.
