We are so excited to announce we will be partnering with Mabel’s Labels for a fundraiser. Mabel’s Labels is a woman owned business that sells waterproof, durable labels to help reduce classroom mix ups! They are dishwasher and laundry safe, and are helpful for labeling items such as water bottles, clothing items, and bedding. 20% of proceeds will directly go to our school!

For those who may not know, SCDC is a non-profit school that works throughout the year to raise funds to continue to extend high-quality education for young children by employing highly educated teachers, enforcing a nationally recognized curriculum, and maintaining national standards for quality care and learning.

The first five years of life are critical development years, particularly for brain development. As we focus our educating efforts to support healthy social-emotional development that yields pro-social relationships for life, our team scaffolds school readiness activities and core learning subjects that compliment developmentally appropriate practices. None of this is possible without strong family partnerships and community support.

Please consider donating to our school this Giving Tuesday so we can continue as leaders in early childhood education while we partner with families and young children in our community. Know your giving will make a difference in the development of a young child and for that, we are so grateful.

We have some exciting news to share...we are hosting a 2-week online pop up shop for school merch! The funds from these purchases will help raise money for our school to put towards enrichment opportunities for children, including resources, materials, and more. We plan to host these fundraising events multiple times per year.

Employee of the Month: July☀️

This month we celebrated Mrs. Brandy, our full-time classroom support teacher in Blue Room. Brandy started at SCDC in March of this year, and has been spreading joy and smiles here ever since. Before coming to SCDC, Brandy volunteered her time working in classrooms with her own children. When asked what her favorite part about SCDC is, Brandy responds "the kids."

The running water issue has been resolved and we will be open for care at 8:30am.

We do not have running water this morning, so we will not be able to open for care until this issue is resolved. We will keep you updated. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
