Meet Logan Anderson who will be starting his second year at MSU IAT Montcalm Community College . Logan spend this summer working for SDG Precision Ag and Custom Farming which is an Agribusiness based in New Era, Michigan. During his time at SDG, Logan was able to operate equipment and participate in service calls when farmers were having issues with their precision equipment.
For his internship project, Logan and a fellow intern worked to organize, and inventory the company’s technological parts. To maintain the inventory, they categorized all of the inventory in the computer where it could be scanned out so SDG knows what they have in stock.
Since Logan is from an apple farm it was interesting for him to see the incredible agri-diversity of the different farms across western Michigan in both size and commodities grown.
