It’s Internship Season for . Lily Earnst from the IAT program is scouting for Main Farms this summer. Each IAT student will have a professional internship before graduation ensuring they are career ready in two years.

Earlier this week, Agriculture students, Raegan, Elizabeth, and Nicole travelled to Ferris State to represent at their MACARO college fair. What a great way to celebrate graduates. This group of future agricultural professionals will make such an impact during their professional careers. So we celebrated them style.

Brook Mudry and Elizabeth Sonday who are freshmen at the location traveled to Kansas City last week. They participated in the Animal Institute in Kansas City. At the conference, they were able to tour industry leading farms, learn from experts, and network with their over 100 of their peers from universities across the country.

This morning three Montcalm Spartans traveled to and visit with Richard Fordyce, USDA Under Secretary of Agriculture for Farm Production and Conservation along with three students from Agricultural Industries Program. Nicole Hollabaugh, Lariah Tissue, and Joel VanKempen shared how their experience connected MSU IAT with .

Yesterday was commencement at for . Congratulations to all the graduates including those from our MCC program who made the trek to East Lansing to celebrate. A huge congratulations to Nicole Hollabaugh who was selected to give the commencement speech.

Spending the morning talking about at Carson City Crystal school’s career fair. It’s always fun to chat about agriculture with students.

MCC Early College student, Dany Weber, is making an bracelet while talking with the Vice President about MCC’s Ag Club and programs. Students start back their semester at both MCC and MSU today.

Wishing students Lariah, Ana, and Adam safe travels home tomorrow morning. Adam and Lariah are studying Agricultural Operations at and Ana is a Fruit, Vegetable, and Organic I Production student in East Lansing. They have spent the fall semester in an program on the campus in Northern Ireland. They will travel home with their minds filled with new information and memories and their social media full of many new friends.
