We were able to meet with Mid-Michigan MSU alumni to share how our project is helping schools, families, and communities work together to prevent adolescent-targeted violence and support high-risk youth across Michigan.

Building safer schools starts with preparation 🏫

We partnered with Pennfield Public Schools to deliver MI-BTAM Basic Training, equipping educators and school staff with the knowledge and tools needed to identify, assess, and manage potential threats before violence occurs.

Athena is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a history of community service and leadership. "I know from personal experience the importance of meaningful connections and having people in my life who will support me, and I want to be that person for someone else." We're excited to grow our West Shore Regional IST and continue to collaborate with schools, mental health, and law enforcement to support high-risk K-12 students 💕 🫂

The October 1, 2026BTAM team mandate is less than five months away ‼️

We offer MI-BTAM Basic Training to help districts build the knowledge, confidence, and collaborative strategies needed to support student safety.

This training equips school teams with practical tools to identify concerning behaviors, assess risk, and respond appropriately.
