Our theme this week was “Eye spy” and we explored our 5 senses. We played with play-doh and floam, painted with scented paint, made texture collages and worked on cutting during art. We also used our sense of touch with the mystery box and played with our special ANS “I-Spy quilt” made by a former Abbott family.

The beautiful fall weather made for the perfect week to go to the pumpkin patch! Our first field trip was a success!! Back at school, we learned how pumpkins grow, weighed and took a closer look with magnifying glasses. We also made some fun pumpkin and fall art 🎃🍁🍂.

Our theme this week was “Colors”. We learned about the 3 primary colors and how you can mix them together to make secondary colors. We made color collages, smash painted and focused on color identification and sorting. To work on our fine motor skills and our pincer grasp, we peeled tape, used tweezers to grab pom-poms and practiced glueing.

We had a “beary” good week at preschool learning about 🐻 and the letter ‘Bb’. We read many books about bears including “Corduroy” which is an ANS favorite! We painted, glued and colored at art, and we had a veterinary clinic in dramatic play.
