In 2023, The Trevor Project found that, "LGBTQ+ young people report higher rates of sexual violence than the general population. Nearly two in five LGBTQ+ young people (39%) reported that they had ever been forced to do “sexual things” that they did not want to do. " No one deserves to experience violence or hate. Everyone deserves safety, respect and care. We are always here for you at MSU Center for Survivors!

This week members of the MSU Campus SART attended the Sexual Assault Kit Initiative (SAKI) Summit! This statewide multidisciplinary conference is a great opportunity for the different disciplines to come together to learn and share with one another.
A special shout out to two of our staff, Kimmins Southard, Care Coordinator and Lauren Henfling, Community Response and Shelter Services Coordinator, who also presented at the Summit this year!
