Adult Ensembles | MSU Community Music Schools - East Lansing The adult community ensembles are designed for those who want to learn or relearn to play a band or strings instrument or those looking to get back to playing alongside others with a similar love for music.

⚠️ CMS Building Closure – Wednesday, September 10 ⚠️

Due to a power outage, the CMS building will be closed on Wednesday, September 10. Power is expected to be restored so we can reopen as usual on Thursday, September 11.

Please note: Choral Union will still meet as scheduled at University United Methodist Church.

Due to an extreme heat advisory in the area, the Backyard Bash featuring Morgan James and Blue Avenue Delegates will now be held indoors at the Eagle Eye Grand Garden Ballroom for the safety of our artists, guests, and staff. After seeing the city of Lansing issue a Code Red Extreme Weather Plan to provide cooling shelters for people in need, the decision became rather easy.

While Share The Music Foundation and MSUFCU have worked diligently to create an enjoyable outdoor concert experience, our top priority is everyone’s health and well-being. Thankfully, the beautiful indoor ballroom at Eagle Eye Golf Club offers a comfortable, air-conditioned environment to enjoy the show.

No need to bring lawn chairs—seating will be provided inside.
Food trucks will still be available just outside the main entrance.
Cash bar service will be offered by Eagle Eye.
Be sure to spread the word to other ticket holders who have been provided tickets through corporate sponsorships as their email address might not be listed on the ticket orders. Mass communication is being sent to everyone that registered a ticket.

MSU Community Music School Presents: Adult Community Ensembles in Concert

Join us as the Adult Jazz Band, Orchestra, and Concert Bands showcase a program featuring works by celebrated composers and arrangers.

A highlight of the afternoon will be an arrangement of Peter and the Wolf, narrated by Jody Knol, beloved host of 90.5 WKAR’s Classical Morning and producer of Great Lakes Concerts.

This concert is a celebration of lifelong musicianship and the power of community through music. Bring your family and friends to experience the joy of MSU’s adult ensembles!
