What. A. Day! 🙌✨

Last week, our Multicultural MBA Association’s organized an MBA Squid Game that was an ULTRA fun evening full of laughter, childhood nostalgia, and just the right amount of chaos 😅

They brought back the classics (from musical chairs, to red light, green light, and tug-of-war) all in true Squid Game style. 🦑🎮 The energy was incredible, the teams were fierce, and the pizza 🍕 was the perfect fuel for survival.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined it: whether you played, cheered, or just came to hang out. You made this event unforgettable! 💛🌍

💼 MBA Summer Experience: Drew Schorfhaar 💼

"This has been a valuable experience working for a company driven by innovation, operational excellence, and a commitment to transforming the construction industry."

This summer, Drew has been a team member with Suffolk Construction. Together with the team, he has had the opportunity to work on the $1.1 billion Fort Myers Airport expansion project, gaining firsthand experience in large-scale infrastructure development.

💼 MBA Summer Experience: Lia Moore 💼

"Launching Coolavo has been the ultimate entrepreneurial crash course. From refining our patented cooling pillow design to navigating supplier negotiations, every day pushes me to problem-solve, pitch, and scale smarter. I’ve learned how to blend wellness, travel, and innovation while building a brand that reflects both purpose and premium quality."

Lia is the CEO and Founder of Coolavo that recently completed a full rebrand into a luxury, premium product line that is set to launch in December. She recently attended the Global Entrepreneurship Conference and was featured in the CanvasRebel, a magazine for entrepreneurs. A major highlight so far has been securing a partnership with a major travel agency network with an announcement coming later!

💼 MBA Summer Experience: Aaron Rusch 💼

"The experience has been rewarding to see my work translate into savings for clients."

This summer, Aaron is a Senior Associate Consulting intern with GEP Worldwide. He has been able to gain exposure to new industries and learn so much about procurement and supply chain. One of the best parts of spending his summer with GEP is being remote, which allows him to stay connected to Michigan and the beautiful campus of MSU!

💼 MBA Summer Experience: Nicholas Korpics 💼

"The experience has exposed me to a wide range of areas, from financial performance and operational KPIs to merchandising standards and food service ex*****on. It’s fast-paced, people-focused work, and every day brings a new challenge."

Nicholas is an Area Leader intern in the Detroit market for 7-Eleven this summer. While learning how to manage a multi-unit franchise, he is focused on the big picture of running a district with day-to-day details that drive performance at the store level. Learning to lead through influence, he is building trust, driving alignment, and coaching franchisees to achieve stronger operational and financial outcomes alongside an MSU alum!

💼 MBA Summer Experience: Pratik Bhattacharjee 💼

"This has been a valuable experience of working in an intense supply chain infrastructure, with inflexible lead-times, spanning cold-chain as well as radio-active API/ products and involving intercontinental, strategic supplier partnerships."

Pratik is a supply chain intern on the Materials Management team for Eli Lilly and Company this summer. He is supporting the team through planning parameters for drug production, formulation of site-wide inventory planning SOPs, as well as developing monthly metrics for tracking of KPIs and efficiency of the Supply Chain team.

💼 MBA Summer Experience: Katherine Pagano 💼

"This summer, I've had the opportunity to dive back into the fast-paced world of operations. One of the highlights of my experience was spending a week embedded in a fulfillment center, gaining hands-on experience with a new business line. I also had the chance to support delivery station operations during Prime Week, which was an exciting and intense time that showcased the scale and complexity of Amazon's network."

Katherine is a Pathways Operations Manager Intern at Amazon, supporting last mile delivery station operations at DPD4, where she has gained experience leading a data-driven project and learning from a team of operations leaders while assisting day-to-day station logistics.

💼 MBA Summer Experience: Malcolm Venema 💼

"This experience has been so valuable for my growth as an HR professional."

Malcom is a Human Resources intern at Lear Corporation this summer. He is assisting the recruiting, onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, and more in the manufacturing setting.
