Spend your Tuesday afternoon giving back to the river along Beal Botanical Garden’s River Trail. Join The Gay Outdoors, a program series from the Gender and Sexuality Campus Center, on October 20 from 4–6 PM for a community trash cleanup.

All are welcome, and cleanup materials will be provided! Come connect with your community, care for our local environment, and explore the relationships between q***r identity and the more-than-human world.

We had such a good time with you on Earth Day that we decided to do another BIG garden volunteer day! Join us on Friday, October 16, 10am-1pm for our SustainaBEALity Volunteer Extravaganza. See what we did there? 😉

Bring your friends, class or club and drop in for just a few minutes or stay for the full 3 hours to help us get the garden ready for a winter nap. Registration ahead is appreciated, but drop-ins are welcome too!

Water Your Goals

No, that's not a typo, it's the name of a new wellbeing program created by one of our Beal Scholars! Last week, Thomas hosted a session for Holmes Hall RAs to explain the framework of Water Your Goals and how we can improve mental wellness through goal setting and plant care. Participants each received a plant and were able to decorate and personalize their plant pot to deepen their connection with it. 🪴

We're excited to see how this program grows up. Great work, Thomas!

It's fall's time to shine!

This season of change might not be as flashy with blooms as spring or summer, but there is all kinds of color to be found if you look closely. Fall is also an amazing time to observe and appreciate the diversity of forms and shapes all around us.
