Join the Chavez Collection Rebranding Committee on Thursday, Aug. 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. for a community town hall to reflect on the future of the Cesar E. Chavez Browsing Collection at MSU Libraries.

The town hall will provide an opportunity to learn more about the collection’s renaming process, share reflections and perspectives and offer input on possible names.

We invite members of the community to join us as we collectively reimagine the future of the collection. The event is open to all and will be held in the MSUFCU Community Room at 3777 West Road, East Lansing. Free parking is available.

Join the Beal Botanical Garden on Thursday, Aug. 13, from 12:10 to 1 p.m. for an opportunity to slow down, connect with nature and experience the practice of forest bathing. 🌿🍃

Led by Angelica Bajos, Beal Community and Sustainability Coordinator, this guided session will offer invitations to connect with the garden and support your well-being through mindful engagement with the natural world.

The tour will begin by the garden pond. In case of cancellation due to weather, please check our social media. A notice will also be posted on the garden shed.

Join MSU Libraries from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 6, for a Visiting Scholars Presentation by Agatha Anna Slupek of Western Michigan University exploring “Who’s Afraid of Philogyny?: Charting Men's Mythic Investments and MSU Libraries’ Changing Men collections.”

This in-person talk will examine the Changing Men collections held at MSU Libraries.
