π―π§π A Wednesday full of celebrating, learning, and a little friendly competition!
We started the day by baking our monthly birthday cupcakes! π Each month, we celebrate all of our participants who have a birthday, creating a special opportunity to recognize them, make them feel appreciated, and celebrate together as a community. π And, of course, the best part is getting to enjoy the cupcakes afterward! π§
Next up was a little friendly competition with Dart Ball! π― Participants got moving, practiced their aim, worked on hand-eye coordination, and enjoyed plenty of laughs along the way. Games like Dart Ball encourage focus, coordination, turn-taking, and social interaction while giving everyone a fun way to stay active and engaged.
Then, we took a deep dive into the Forster Fish Tank! π π Participants learned about the different creatures that call our tank home, what they eat, how they live, and how the tank is their ecosystem. Activities like this encourage curiosity, memory, conversation, and cognitive engagement while giving everyone a chance to share what they know and discover something new.
From celebrating birthdays, to testing our aim, to exploring our underwater friends, it was a Wednesday filled with connection, learning, movement, and plenty of fun! π

πͺ΅ Giant Jenga
We put our focus and strategy to the test with a game of Giant Jenga! 𧩠This activity encourages concentration, hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, problem-solving, and decision-making. It also gives participants a chance to cheer each other on, practice patience, and enjoy some friendly competition! ππ
π Volleyball Fun
We got moving with a friendly game of volleyball! Volleyball gives our participants a chance to work on coordination, balance, movement, and hand-eye coordination while encouraging teamwork and social interaction. Plus, there were plenty of smiles and laughs along the way! ππ
π Key Chain Creations
We also got creative and made our own key chains! π¨β¨ Hands-on activities like this encourage fine motor skills, focus, decision-making, and self-expression. Most importantly, participants get to make something that is uniquely theirs and feel that sense of accomplishment when they see the finished product! π
It was the perfect way to start the week: a little strategy, a little movement, a little creativity, and A LOT of fun! π₯³
