Each semester has a deadline for the initial submission of theses and dissertations to ProQuest.

The ETD Summer 2026 Submission Deadline will be on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at 5 p.m.

The document submitted to ProQuest is expected to be a final version, meaning it has been successfully defended, corrections the committee wants have been made, and there are no more content changes.

Whether you are taking some time off, working on your project, thesis or dissertation, or teaching or taking classes, we hope you have a great summer.

Chittenden Hall will be open Monday through Friday, and our staff will be able to assist you during our regular working hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Your document must be accepted and delivered to the publisher, ProQuest, by 5 p.m. ET on the final deadline date.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for some great food and fun conversations these past few days as we're celebrating Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation week.

Yesterday, Provost Laura Lee McIntyre met with graduate students for our annual Pretzels with the Provost event.

Today our Office for Graduate Educator Advancement and Teaching (GREAT) and the Council of Graduate Students (COGS) hosted a Graduate Student Block Party featuring a PizzArena contest, where graduate students voted for their favorite pizza place.

The results are in: The first place goes to Slice for its margherita pizza, followed by Jet's Eugene supreme and Slice's chicken and waffle.

Thank you graduate students! We hope you enjoyed these events as much as we did.

Congratulations to our Educator of the Month Sabrina Zarza, who is a dual-major doctoral candidate in Mathematics Education and Chicano/Latino Studies.
